The Lebanese American Club of Michigan is proud to recognize two students, George Matta and Tiffany Eid, for their outstanding academic achievement. Matta and Eid were selected by the 2017 LACOM Scholarship Committee to receive a financial commitment towards their education.
They each submitted their academic transcripts indicating a 3.0 GPA or higher, and an essay describing what it means to be a Lebanese American.
Matta is a senior at Catholic Central High School in Novi.
Eid is a freshman at Oakland University studying pre-nursing.
The Lebanese American Club of Michigan (LACOM) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to preserve Lebanese American heritage and culture, and build cultural bridges between Lebanon and the United States. Since 1996, the organization has worked to host independent community activities that unite the Lebanese American community, and educate the public about Lebanon, its people and culture.
